The 3 episodes
2007-2009 – Destination: Red Zone!
It was by studying the petroglyphs of Pusharo and then examining images taken during a helicopter flight in December 2008 that Thierry Jamin believes he located the legendary city of Paititi. This episode will take you to Mameria, the small agricultural town discovered by Nicole and Herbert Cartagena in 1979. Thirty years later, Nicole returns to the site with Thierry. There she is reunited with her “forest family.” The group then sets out to conquer a mysterious “Red Zone.” Will Thierry and his companions find Paititi there? Beautiful encounters await them, as well as the discovery of a “valley of wonders” teeming with lost cities.

2010–2013 | The New Sacred Valley of the Incas
During this period, Thierry and his group explored the Lacco and Chunchusmayo valleys, located north of Cusco. They uncovered dozens of previously unknown Inca sites: fortresses, small agricultural centers, necropolises, and entire cities populated by hundreds of buildings. Located on an ancient Inca trail, these ruins seem to curiously point towards the north of the department. Soon, testimonies from Matsiguenga Indians mention a mysterious mountain and monumental ruins hidden at its summit. Thierry is convinced: it can only be Paititi. In July 2012, thanks to a satellite image from Astrium, he spotted a strange square formation measuring 1,000 meters on each side, right in the heart of the Megantoni National Sanctuary. Located north of the Lacco Valley, our explorers seem to have reached the gates of the legendary city.

2013–2024 | Païtiti located
After fifteen years of research, the discovery in 2012 of a mysterious “square mountain” in the north of the department of Cusco would turn the lives of Thierry and his companions upside down. Jamin was convinced that the Holy Grail of South American archaeology was hidden at the summit of this hill. For several years, the Inkarri Institute team did everything in its power to reach this inaccessible “promised land.” After several attempts in the heart of the “green hell,” Thierry finally tried his luck by helicopter in September 2019. But things did not go as planned. A thrilling and incredible story! Some time later, Herbert Cartagena bowed out and joined the angels of Paititi. Finally, new satellite images revealed to Thierry Jamin that he had been right: these were unprecedented images… and truly historic ones at that! The hour of the “fabulous city of Paititi” was fast approaching…
